Job description: Sales Team Leader

Reporting To: Managing Director

Location: Beckenham, South-East London. Office based with flexible working

Glemnet is an established Cloud, IT and communications B2B reseller in the UK. We have been trading for over 20 years. We deliver Cloud telephony, cloud software solutions, cyber security solutions, fibre broadband, business mobile and many other technology solutions to business and the Public Sector.

Position Overview

The Sales Team Leader oversees the sales operations, ensuring the team reach targets and goals each month/quarter/year. Primarily responsible for setting goals, devising sales strategies, evaluating sales team performance, assigning tasks, and providing support and corrective measures should there be any concerns. Furthermore, as a team leader, it is essential to encourage the sales force, shape them into valuable members of the company, and implement all of the organization's regulations and policies. To provide in house and in the field training. To lead from the front and drive the team and sales forward.

This is a very exciting opportunity to join an established business with over 700 customers and to help grow the business through increased sales revenues and profits. To manage the Glemnet Sales team on a day-to-day basis to help them to achieve their individual sales targets. Work to achieve agreed company Sales targets. To overachieve and exceed existing company revenues and profits. Ie to grow the business. To be a leader and manager of people. To lead from the front and set the pace every day. To work closely with the MD to build campaigns and implement strategies to achieve targets. Primarily working from offices in Beckenham South East London/Kent borders with flexible working an option; access to reliable transportation to enable commute within 45 minutes of the offices is desirable and preferred.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

  • To lead, manage, train, motivate, incentivise the entire Glemnet Sales team which consists of approximately 6 staff.
  • To work with the MD to implement the sales plan to achieve agreed company targets.
  • To overachieve and exceed existing company revenues and profits. Ie to help grow the business through your Sales team leader efforts.
  • Working with the Sales team to help them achieve their individual and team targets.
  • Accompanying Field Sales staff in the field visiting both existing and new customers to help secure the business.
  • Motivating and training the team each day to improve their sales performance
  • Helping to prepare solutions documents and proposals and attending customer meetings to present the final solution.
  • Work with the company’s in house digital marketing specialist to run email and social media campaigns
  • Engage with the Glemnet in house Technical and Provisioning staff and project support team as well as external suppliers to bring the solutions into service.
  • Drive sales to achieve revenue to meet and exceed targets
  • Develop and implement a sales training plan so our Team Members can become sales focused
  • Help and encourage the team to maintain accurate CRM records of all prospects and use to operate an efficient sales process

Experience and expertise:

  • Experience in B2B sales in the telecommunications industry is essential
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of sales success in this industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud telephony sales
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT and networking sales
  • Experienced presenter at board room level
  • Ability to communicate at all levels

Salary and benefits

Basic Salary 40k+ commission plus bonus OTE 75k

20 days holiday plus bank holidays (incremental with length of service)

Job Description: Business Development Manager

Reporting To: MD/Sales Manager

Location: Beckenham, South-East London.

Glemnet is an established Cloud, IT and communications B2B reseller in the UK. We have been trading for 20 years. We deliver technology solutions to business and the Public Sector.

Position Overview

The Business Development Manager will have sales, project, technical and commercial acumen and will be familiar with negotiating high revenue minimum term contracts particularly in the IT, Telecoms, Cloud Software and Hosted Telephony Markets. We will provide leads and opportunities from both new accounts as well as existing accounts. You will also use your experience and skills to develop your own new business opportunities

Working practice

Whilst we enjoy a flexible working policy here at Glemnet, ideally the candidate will be within a 45/60 mins journey from the offices in order to work collaboratively with cothers in Service Delivery, Support and engineering and with colleagues in the Sales team.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

  • Account management
  • Work with marketing to build targeted marketing campaigns to strategic markets
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Maintain existing client base and increase revenue through up-selling and cross-selling
  • Book and attend regular customer meetings that result in profitable relationships
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships within the sales team
  • Present to and negotiate with director level
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Take personal responsibility for development and learning of skills and market/product knowledge
  • Keeping CRM updated with all information at all time
  • Ensure timely follow ups with all sales prospects in your funnel & push them through the different stages
  • Work with first time customers, building a relationship to turn them into repeat business
  • Closely work with the service delivery team to ensure a best in class delivery service
  • You will be in charge of following up leads and completing the full 360 sales cycle to transform them into deals.
  • You will be looking to generate your own pipeline alongside and attend client facing meetings.
  • You have the ability to work under pressure and towards a targeted vision and an aggressive expansion plan.
  • Create new business opportunities

Necessary Experience 

  • At least three years working in an Account Manager and or Business Development Manager capacity within the B2B IT/telecoms/Technology industry
  • Demonstrable career history within telecoms sales
  • Demonstrable knowledge of telecoms products
  • Proven track record in sales - achieving and exceeding targets
  • Extensive market knowledge of the telecoms industry
  • Confident and capable of seeking out and securing new business
  • Networking and negotiating skills
  • Experience of solution building and presenting solutions at board level
  • Account management capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously
  • Flexibility to attend meetings when and where necessary

Favourable Experience:

  • Sales knowledge within the B2B telecoms/IT/Technology industry
  • Extensive experience selling hosted systems
  • Experience selling into SME and Corporate accounts
  • Knowledge of cloud software solutions
  • Prior experience in B2B sales & Field sales
